VTM Thendayabani Muthumariamman Temple
2km from the district office along Jalan Sungai Pinang is the Thendayabani Muthumariamman Hindu Temple. The oldest temple built by the Chettiar Indians of Balik Pulau. Dedicated to Lord Subramaniam and to Mariamman, a female deity, the temple's biggest feast is Vaigasi celebrated over three days in May.
