“Peace, Coexistence and Revival — Simon Tan’s Solo Exhibition” of Awakening Generative Abstraction

The exhibition presents a selection of the artist’s recent significant works and, for the first time in full, his proposed theory of “Awakening Generative Abstraction.” Through the language of abstract art, the artist transforms personal life experiences and observations of the world into visual expressions, exploring how individuals can move from awareness to enlightenment when faced with change, challenges and adversity, and in doing so, create new value in life.

Mr. Simon Tan is a contemporary artist who has been actively contributing to the Malaysian art scene for several decades. He has held numerous solo exhibitions in Malaysia, China, Singapore and Thailand, while participating actively in international artistic exchanges. His works are held in the collections of art institutions both in Malaysia and abroad, reflecting his longstanding commitment to promoting Malaysian art on the international stage.
